And one simple, nontraditional step—designing ductwork so it's inside the home living space although still cleverly hidden—can cut family energy bills by a quarter to a third. Ductwork is so leaky that much of the heat or air conditioning in a home is lost. "Every time we build four new power plants to meet summer peak load, one of them is not necessary because it's generating nothing but cold air that's going into attics or crawl spaces," says Jeffrey Harris of the Alliance to Save Energy, a nonprofit coalition of business and environmental groups. The alliance is among groups pushing for a national minimum standard in building codes.

  After many years of installing/servicing HVAC Systems, I have decided to share my experiences and help out everyone from service techs, building facilities personnel, and home owners. Even if you are going to use a contractor to install/replace a unit, this site will be a good reference. I have posted lots of documents, found online, and others to help you with the world of HVAC.

 Bookmark this website, because you never know when you will need the info posted here.   Hopefully you can walk yourself through a installation, or a no heat situation in the middle of the night. If you cannot find what you are looking for, you can email me from my contact page, and I will do my best to get back to you.
